Friday 29: PR: Artpick is an online art gallery that offer affordable art between R150 and R3,000
2012-06-28

The inspiration behind Artpick

Artpick understands the value and joy original art provides. As quoted by the legendary Pablo Picasso:

‘Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up’

At Artpick we believe painting and drawing is suppose to be a fun experience and who better understand this than the children themselves.

Our Vision

Founded in 2011 our vision is to make ‘Original art in every home possible’. We focus on selling ‘more for less’ rather than ‘less for more’, differentiating ourselves from any art gallery or any art website.

Our Goal

Our Goal is to promote and inspire creative thinking and entrepreneurial skills among the learners. This will promote art education in schools where both the school and the learner benefit financially from the art sold by Artpick.

In achieving our goal we wanted to create a platform where people can shop for art at affordable prices. We want to change the financial capacity required to purchase original art. Not only are the art sourced from schools affordable, but also original and creative masterpieces created in a fun artistic environment.

We offer affordable art

Artpick is a new online art gallery that offer affordable art between R150 and R3,000. We also offer free delivery in South Africa. The art is sourced from Schools and Art Centres for grade 1-12 learners.

By offering more affordable art, we enable people around the world to have ownership of original contemporary paintings and make their homes and offices a colorful, creative environment to be in. We know that everyone dreams of owning original art and this is the ideal way to decorate any DIY room or office wall.

Educational Support

Artpick encourages art education and the improvement of art skills in schools by giving back to the community.

Of every painting sold on this website:

- 25% will be paid to the learner (or artist as they are known to us) and;
- 25% will be paid to the school or art centre

Additional prize money:
The school or art centre that sold the highest amount of paintings during a calendar year will win 1% of the total annual Artpick sales during that particular calendar year.

Charity Support

Artpick supports The Peninsula School Feeding Association, because no child can learn and paint on an empty stomach. For more information on their amazing projects go to: www.psfa.org.za
